PLHS Wins 2019 SAASTA Shield

Our SAASTA class are currently in Adelaide competing in the annual SAASTA Shield; PLHS SAASTA Academy Coordinator Mr Boyd West just sent the following message through…

“The PLHS Academy took eleven students to Adelaide to compete in the annual SAASTA Shield. This year’s event was staged across two days with students engaging in netball and Survivor-type competitions.

Our team competed intensely in every activity. Although we didn’t win the sporting and team-building event, Port Lincoln was still able to be crowned SAASTA Shield winners for 2019. This is testament to the students as it reflects their outstanding attendance, school work and overall behaviour throughout the semester – it is worth mentioning that most of our students had a 100% attendance record.

We are extremely proud of each of this semester’s students and thank all of the staff involved throughout the course of the year. We have big enrolment numbers lined up for 2020 and hope to utilise this success as a benchmark for what is expected for the incoming students.”

Congratulations to Boyd and the student members of our 2019 SAASTA Academy.
