Foreshore Fun Run Finale to PE Week

Earlier today, PLHS staged another edition of the Foreshore Fun Run as a finale to PE Week 2019. Participating staff and students were invited to run (or walk) the 3.5km course along the foreshore in ideal conditions.

Participants were rewarded for their efforts with a refreshing ice block at the finish line, and the opportunity to keep the physical theme going with sports and games on the Yacht Club lawns – these included volleyball, tug-of-war, football and Vortex.

Prizes were awarded to the fastest finishers across several categories (listed below) – many thanks to Mr Michael Paech from Sandune Surf Company for the generous sponsorship. Following the walk back to school, the SRC provided a celebratory lunchtime barbecue.

Congratulations to Miss Yasmin Stewart and her HPE faculty for their organisational efforts today and throughout the week.
