Eighteen Graduate from Youth Opportunities

Last night at the Port Lincoln Hotel, eighteen Port Lincoln High School students (fifteen pictured here) graduated from the ten-week Youth Opportunities program before a large crowd of supportive family, friends and PLHS staff.

Youth Opportunities is a positive empowerment program which provides tools and strategies to help enable young people to overcome challenges, reach their full potential, achieve and thrive. As part of their graduation ceremony, the students delivered heartfelt speeches about how this initiative has assisted them to improve their lives. A common theme amongst the graduates was that they had all grown in confidence and worked on improving their personal relationships.

Sincere thanks to PLHS Counsellor Ms Sarah Kidd and Ange and Nat from West Coast Youth & Community Support for facilitating this highly successful program

Congratulations to all of last night’s graduates on their positive participation.
