Bruising Lesson for Year 9 Drama Class

My Year 9 Drama class put their skills to the test today, creating bruises and cuts in a Special Effects Makeup Design lesson. They used theatre makeup, tissues, glue, baby powder and toothpaste to create their looks – many left the results on display in order to show their peers how tough their Drama class is!

Although the Hall now smells like a baby change room, each student participated positively in the workshop and was prepared to take risks with their experimentation – it was fantastic to watch.

During their next Drama lesson, the students will be creating basic scar wax (or nose putty) using flour and petroleum jelly. Hopefully you’ll see a few witches roaming the yard after that class!
