Adopt-a-Barra 2019 – September Update

Dear Adoptees,

Our class has tagged, weighed and measured your son – we have attached the information below to tell you how big your son is. During this term we have worked hard to create a stress free environment for the fish to live in. At the moment we are learning about safe food handling and working with knives to allow us to process the barramundi when they ready.

You are welcome to come and visit our facility any time and we are happy to give you a tour.

This term, our Aquaculture class will participate in a number of excursions. We are going to Arno Bay to observe the Cleanseas kingfish hatchery and the following week we are having a tour of the Markane pilchard boat and Yumbah abalone farm.

Thank you for being patient because we had some trouble with feeding therefore growth rates have been slow. We will give you another update soon.

Regards,

The 2019 Aquaculture Class
