A Message from the Principal (re: Modified School Program – 1st July 2019)

Dear Parent/Caregivers,

I am writing to inform you that Port Lincoln High School will not be running normal classes on Monday 1st July 2019, due to a vote for industrial action by members of the Australian Education Union at this site. Stage 2 trial examinations will run as advertised located at the Port Lincoln Hotel. No other students are required at school on this day.

The Education Director has approved the change in structure for the day on the grounds that insufficient staff will be on duty to enable me as Principal to ensure that adequate standards of student safety and welfare can be provided.

Normal education programs will commence at the sites from 8:45am on Tuesday 2nd July.

Please contact the school if you have any questions regarding this information.

In summary:

  • No classes from Year 8 to 12 at the Ruskin Road site
  • No classes at the Community Learning Centre (CLC) on Edinburgh Street
  • Stage 2 examinations to run as programmed at the Port Lincoln Hotel

Regards,
Mr Todd George (Acting Principal – Port Lincoln High School)
