Watermelon Eating Fun at Lunchtime

Port Lincoln High School’s Wellbeing Team and Pastoral Care Worker Holly Wilsdon have been striving to make lunchtimes more interesting here at PLHS. Today’s watermelon eating contest in the Amphitheatre was just one of many activities that have been happening this term. A large crowd turned out today to cheer on our brave competitors – as these images clearly show, it was tasty, it was messy, and it was fun!

Our purpose is to support the social and emotional wellbeing of our school, by providing students with events and activities to look forward to at lunchtimes, and to provide a sense of belonging and togetherness. We aim to create opportunities and space for our students to connect, to have fun, and to thrive in their classrooms as well as the yard.

Today’s activity sure was a hit! We look forward to enjoying more events like this one throughout the year.
