PLACE Class Creates Artwork for Council Shirts

Earlier today, our P.L.A.C.E. (Port Lincoln Art Centre Enterprise) teacher Ms. Wanda Jarvis received the following message from Amy Williams, Community, Culture and Recreation Project Officer with the City of Port Lincoln…

Good morning Wanda,

A huge thank you to you, your fellow staff and the PLACE Class who were involved in the T-Shirt Competition and produced wonderful artworks.

We are pleased to let you know the t-shirts have been distributed to staff who are loving wearing them as a casual uniform item – they look fab!

The artworks themselves are now being installed in prominent locations within Council facilities including the CEO’s office, Mayor’s office, Council Chambers, Admin Office, Library and ArtEyrea.

Both the shirts and the artworks are a proud statement of Council’s commitment to its reconciliation journey.

We trust the students enjoyed the project and hope that you’re able to show them the attached photo and pass on our gratitude to them for their inspired creations.

Thank you for your patient support of this project, and we look forward to collaborating again some time!”

Congratulations to all involved in this wonderful initiative.
