Community Connections for Year 9’s

During Week 8, the Year 9 students who were not involved in the Pantomime participated in a program of community connections – throughout the week, they enjoyed a variety of activities including safe boating, a tour of the Port Lincoln Hotel, guest speakers and a services walk around town.

The main objective of this initiative was for students to interview an older relative or friend and record their stories. The special person was then invited to a celebration lunch on Friday, cooked and served by students. Not only did our students create and deliver a three-course meal, but they also designed the menu and table settings – it was amazing!

Thank you to the special people who came and shared lunch with us. Thanks also to all staff involved and to the students for their enthusiasm and positive engagement during the week.
