PLHS wishes to sincerely thank Bunnings Port Lincoln for their recent donation of a “Tumbleweed Worm Café” worm farm (and associated equipment, including the worms). This generous contribution has been combined with our existing worm farm; the pair are now located between the Canteen and the Commercial Kitchen, enabling staff and students to convert recycled food scraps into a healthy, nutrient-rich compost for our school gardens.
This initiative was instigated and delivered by the Gamlin sisters – Year 8 Evie (pictured here) and Year 9 Ruby – with the support of SRC Leader Mrs. Lenny Woods. Congratulations on seeing the project through girls, and thanks again to our community partners at Bunnings.
