Why BRIDGE?

As a dedicated, diverse and experienced team we have worked with many students who have encountered barriers to success. 

We share a common goal to utilise our knowledge, experience and relational skill to assist students to realise their full potential. 

10 Week Intervention Program

The Port Lincoln BRIDGE Centre is one of six across of South Australia (two Secondary and four Primary) that provide an early intervention program focusing on expert support.

Our Purpose

To provide intensive learning emotional and behavioural support for students and families at risk of disengaging from mainstream education.

Our Vision

All students exiting our centre are ready to participate in learning, employment and their community with confidence and aspiration.

The Bridge Team

The BRIDGE team consists of four full time staff members. The Manager, Teacher, Family Coordinator and Student Support Officer provide intensive support to students focusing on Literacy, Numeracy, Life and Social Skills.

Resource Guide & Library

Upon enrolment, parents and carers are supplied with a resource guide that outlines our Skills for Success program and additional supports available.

Ongoing Support

Following the 10 week placement in BRIDGE, staff continue to support to ensure a positive educational pathway.

Engagement in Learning

Our teaching team deliver learning programs aligned to the Australian curriculum and students work towards set agreed goals and are expected to engage positively in the program and develop skills to improve their participation. To facilitate this, students are involved in designing their learning programs, including activities such as: photography, cooking, music and arts.

Learning Environment

The BRIDGE learning environment is a predictable, calm and safe environment. Intensive support is provided by the four full time staff members, with a maximum of 15 students per cohort.
