All Community Studies subjects are divided into two sections. The Contract of Work (80%) has the following components:

  1. Developing a Contract of skills (10%)
    • Students will be provided a contract to complete
    • This will involve listing previous knowledge
    • Also planning what the student expects to achieve
  2. Completing a folio showing the new skills the student has learnt (20%)
    • Learning how to play the game
    • Organising the teams to compete in eSports
    • Organising the computers and link to the internet
    • Organising to film/stream the event
    • Organising the event
  3. An activity in the community that involves the student (50%)
    • Help organise an eSport Event
    • Check all the equipment is ready
    • Keep the score and recognise the winners

For the Reflection (20%), students reflect on what they have learnt during their community activity and the value of that learning to them. This enables students to review ongoing progress and evaluate their learning experiences throughout the community activity. Evidence of learning may be presented using one or a combination of the following forms: written, oral, visual, or digital.

Assessment:

Students’ performance will be determined according to the rubric provided for the subject. This is based and aligned with the Performance Standards as provided in Creative Arts Stage 1 outline in the SACE subject. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.
