Content:

All students will continue to develop their mathematical knowledge and skills in the curriculum strands of:

  • Number and Algebra
  • Measurement and Geometry
  • Statistics and Probability

Students will be assessed using a variety of activities such as skills and application tasks, directed investigations and projects.

  • Simple Interest
  • Patterns and Algebra
  • Linear and Non-linear Relationships
  • Measurement and Shape
  • Geometric Reasoning
  • Pythagoras and Trigonometry
  • Probability
  • Data Representations and Interpretations

Assessment:

Student performance will be determined according to the subject’s Achievement Standards as outlined in the framework of the Australian Curriculum. Grades A to E will be used for reporting purposes.
