Wharf Excursion for Year 9 HASS Class

This term, Year 9 HASS students have been completing the geography unit, “We Are Ports”. The high school education program teaches Australia’s younger demographic about the importance of Australia’s ports to the national economy and the value of trade that passes through the ports.

As part of this unit over the last three weeks, students have taken part in an excursion down to the Port Lincoln Wharf to discover how it operates and its role within the town. Pictures show Darryl Montgomerie sharing his expert knowledge on a guided tour last Friday with my Year 9 HASS class.
